With the slogan "Blossoming Together," the II IWCA International Convention, will take place in INCREASE THE VISIBILITY OF THE ORGANIZATION A key step in expanding the sphere of influence is the recognition of IWCA and understanding of its role in developing the potential of women within the coffee community. All attendees will understand who we are, what we do, and our future goals. We encourage international interest in IWCA as a means to develop women in the coffee sector. SHARING KNOWLEDGE OF COFFEE FROM SEEDS TO THE CUP The Convention will give attendees the opportunity to learn about aspects of the coffee industry outside their own area of expertise. The seminars will focus on topics such as coffee in the market, the development of relationships between roasters and producers, the mechanics of cupping, and coffee production. PROMOTE RELATIONS IN THE COFFEE SECTOR A key market differentiator for IWCA is that along with the quality of life of the projects we support, the organization seeks to connect coffee professionals through networking events. We shall promote various social events to build networks, and offer scholarship programs to help ensure that coffee professionals from various sectors of industry become interrelated. To achieve the above objectives, emphasis has been placed in programming activities for the Convention attendees to obtain first-hand information on all aspects of coffee production, processing and marketing, including visits to commercial coffee farms and mills on the Sierra Apaneca-Ilamatepec, the first area recognized as an appellation of origin of Salvadoran coffee. Convention participants will include prominent personalities from the coffee world, including producers, processors, exporters and importers, tasters, market analysts, and experts in all coffee marketing areas.
